Monet, known around the ranch as "Mo Mo", is a domestic hatched and handraised Dutch blue lovebird. My love and appreciation for lovebirds stems from childhood, when my Grandpa Doc Buttrum and Grandma Irene Buttrum kept lovebirds in the living room of their beautiful home in Detroit, Michigan. I always remember visiting and watching the two peach face lovebirds in their tall cage with lots of wooden branches. The memories inspired me to raise and handfeed pet lovebirds for families to enjoy as loving, beautiful, domestic pets. MoMo is a little clown and loves being around and on people. He goes with us everywhere including to the Home Depot, and he even goes horseback riding with us sometimes! MoMo is especially good with children and nobody is a stranger to him.
